The Dew Breaker consists of nine loosely interconnected stories. The first is narrated by a young woman from Haiti named Ka who lives in New York but finds herself traveling to Florida with her father to sell a sculpture representing her dad. After spending the night in a hotel, she wakes up to discover her father and the sculpture are missing...
